As a foodie, restaurant week is always a treat. Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting Filomeno in Georgetown. The wait was two hours at 7:00pm. Since I've dined there before, I understood why there was a packed house. On top of it being restaurant week, this restaurant is the The special was a 3 course meal for $35 per person. 2 course meal during lunch for $25.

For my appetizer I ordered the Polpetti Classico which is the meatball classic. From the menu, it appears to be one of their most famous dishes. The presentation was so cute. The meatballs were brought out in this antique deep-dish pan; just big enough for 2 meatballs.

After all the bread and appetizer, I barely had any room for the main course. For the entree, I chose the Lasagna Alla Bolognes. The lasagna oozed with mozzarella and ricotta cheese. The meat sauce was delicious and hardy. The lasagna was oven baked to perfection. I could eat that lasagna every day of the week if I knew I wouldn't gain any more weight.

The dessert was a cookies 'n cream mousse cake. I wasn't too fond of the cake but everything else definitely made up for it. To prove how delicious everything was, you'd have to try it out for yourself. I'm sure I'll be back to try something else on the menu and report how fantastic my meal was.

For the time being you can enjoy the pictures below from my meal last night. I may even try out another restaurant today. I'll keep you posted.
