Every business owner deliberates on ways they can distinguish themselves from the competition. Whether it be creating a niche or reinventing a classic, everyone strives to stand out from the crowd. Top Chef Spike Mendelsohn has accomplished this goal. Good Stuff Eatery offers an array of uniquely crafted burgers, shakes and treats that raise the bar and set them apart other establishments.

Being the self proclaimed foodie that I am, I am willing to try anything at least once. However, when it comes to Good Stuff Eatery, I am no longer on a trial basis. I love this place! And don't take just my word for it; they have over 14,000 reviews on Yelp! In addition to the many articles published about this restaurant, there is no disputing, people have a lot of good to say about Good Stuff Eatery.

Located in the heart of Capitol Hill on Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, D.C., Good Stuff Eatery offers gourmet burgers and shakes including seasonal favorites such as their Pumpkin Patch shake as well as signatures like the Toasted Marshmallow shake. In true Washingtonian style, some of their burgers are named after President Obama and FLOTUS Michelle.

As enticing as the presidential themed burgers may be, my go-to is the Spike's Sunnyside. Another signature cheeseburger, the Spike's Sunnyside is topped with a delicately fried egg. It's not often you can walk into a burger joint and find a fried egg as a topping of choice. Good Stuff Eatery has mastered the art of frying an egg to perfection. I died and went to burger heaven when I found this place. My burger was juicy, messy and extremely flavorful. Just the way I like it! I enjoyed every minute it took me to devour the Spike Sunnyside and I'm sure you will too.

No need to fear if you can't make it to Capitol Hill- there's hope! Good Stuff Eatery now has locations in Georgetown and Crystal City. Although the seasonal Pumpkin Patch shake will not be offered I have been told the November special will be *drumroll.... The Cranberry Shake. You can see more of my review on Yelp! In the meantime, be great!
